Rules of the Game

Two teams sit facing each other.

A curtain is raised separating the two teams so that they cannot see each other.

The umpire calls for each team to select a person to come up front and center. The person to be selected must meet the criteria set by the umpire, for example, the person has to be from a certain age group. The team can discuss and decide who the selected representative should be.

Note: The list of criteria will be published here on August 1.

When the selected representatives are seated front and center, the curtain is lowered.

The person that is able to first correctly call out the name of the other person wins a point for his team.

The rest of each team is not allowed to assist the selected representative. If the umpire hears the answer coming from the rest of the team, the team is disqualified and the opposite team wins a point.

If after thirty seconds (or a duration decided by the umpire) both selected representatives cannot correctly identify the other person, the umpire lowers a flag.

The team that shouts out the correct name of the selected representative of the opposing side wins a point.

Identifcation aids, including print outs from these web pages, may be used.

Arrangements will be made to ensure that both teams playing together have approximately the same number of people.
