Rules

Each side for each game will field a maximum of five players and a goal-keeper.

The aim of the game is to cause the ball to go into the opposing side's goal posts.

Goals can be scored from anywhere in the court, by any player in any position.

Every time a ball enters a goal, one goal point will be awarded to the side whose goal was not entered.

Only the goal-keeper may use his/her arms or hands to contact the ball. All other players may use any part of the body except arms and hands to contact and play the ball.

All players must wear a shirt or jersey of their team color.

The goal-keeper may use gloves (self-provided).

Only shoes are allowed. No soccer boots may be used.

When a ball goes out of play, a kick-in will be awarded to the side whose player is not the last to be in contact with the ball before it goes out of play. The kick-in must be effected within 5 seconds of the referee's whistle.

Only one opponent and one defender are allowed in the semi-circle at any one time.

Any foul in the semi-circle will result in a penalty kick against the offending team. The referee will judge what constitues a foul.

Substitution is allowed at any time as long as the team composition requirements are maintained. There is no need to inform the referee.

There will be no extra time and no injury time.

Format

There will be two separate futsal events and each church can field one team for each event:

All team members of Championship Soccer must be aged 13 years or older. Championship Soccer is a ranked event whose results will count toward the overall Sports Day winning positions.

The Fellowship Soccer team shall consist of:

A round-robin format will be adopted for this competition. Every team will play against every other team in the event.

Each match will consists of two 10-minute halves.

The total goals scored in the two halves will be the goals scored for the match and the winner of a match is the team with the higher score.

Points will be awarded for each match as follows:

And the end of the competition, the total points achieved by each team will determine the winning positions.

Where there is a tie, the total number of goals scored by each team will be used to break the tie.

As futsal is a team event, all interested players must register through their church soccer or sports representative.

All church applications must be received by the organizer before July 29, 2011 to be considered.
