Rules

Each team will consist of eight players of which one is assigned as the catcher.

Each team must have:

If the ball goes out of play, there will be a throw-in.

A catch directly from a throw-in will not be counted.

No kicking of the ball is allowed.

Only shoes may be worn, no soccer boots allowed.

Snatching and slapping are prohibited.

There is no limit to substitution as long as the team composition as given above is maintained.

Format

Each church can submit one team based on the composition specified in the Rules above.

Every team will play against every other team once.

Each match will consist of two 10-minute halves with a 3-minute break.

Anyone can score in the game.

The score at the end of the second half will determine the winner for the match.

Points will be awarded for each match as follows:

At the end of the competition, the total points achieved by each team will be used to determine the first and second positions.

Where there is a tie, the total number of catches achieved by a team will be used, failing which the convenor will determine the best method to break the tie.

Registration

All interested players please register through your church captains ball or sports representative as soon as possible.

All team applications must be received by the convenor before July 29, 2011 to be considered.
